Ranger's Apprentice / Grijze Jager Hooded Scarf He has made his own fiber blend of Merino and Alpaca, in different shades of grey and green. Since I offered him the complete Spinner Of Yarns fiber cabinet to choose from (so he could select the perfect colors to suit the ranger's apprentices needs) he also added down of Yak and baby Camel..... Tip: If you forget about the hood you can use this pattern to make a lovely warm, wide handspun scarf or cozy wrap suitable for many purposes. I am still spinning and Navajo plying the yarn (so the original scarf is not finished yet), but I have already written out the pattern, and a modified yarn-recipe (because most of us probably do not have Yak down in our stash...), so if you like you can already join me in the fun and make a hooded scarf for your own Ranger's Apprentice too ;-) If you would like to make your own handspun Ranger's Apprentices Hooded Scarf too please send us an email at spinnerofyarns@hotmail.com. We will email you the pattern and the instructions for creating your own Hooded Scarf too in PDF format.
Free Spinner of Yarns Pattern
Written especially with handspinners in mind.
This pattern is made especially with handspinners in mind. If you like to make an exciting blend, and spin your own yarn you may enjoy this project. The knitting is the easy bit (it is mainly a couple of pretty rectangles).
